Midwife Katrin Toomingas
In 1993, I started my studies in midwifery at the Tallinn Medical School. After graduating from this educational institution in 1996, I started working in the department of obstetrics of the East Tallinn Central Hospital, with the goal of helping women in this definitive moment of their lives – during childbirth.
In 2004, I finished a formal education programme for midwives at the Tallinn Health Care College. Over the years, I have attended a number of professional training courses in my field.
I have always been fascinated by the unique nature of childbirth. I know how important it is to respect a woman’s individual preferences during childbirth, providing her with support and guidance.
I speak Estonian and Russian.
