Vaccination against the flu, quadrivalent flu vaccine
The flu is an acute viral disease that is more severe than the common cold.
Vaccination is the primary and also powerful tool for avoiding being infected with the flu. We recommend vaccinating against the flu at the beginning of the peak infection period, which is from October to December. Immunity against the flu starts to develop one week after vaccination. The vaccine is safe and does not cause flu infections. Vaccination is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to components of the vaccine and in case of an acute feverish disease. A minor cold or cough is not a contraindication.
