Ultrasound in case of sclerotherapy

An ultrasound allows for the more precise detection of a deficient vein, in the event that the varicose vein cannot be found on the skin surface.

In sclerotherapy, an ultrasound could be used to correct venous insufficiency on the superficial venous system (v. saphena magna or v. saphena parva) or to correct the insufficiency of connecting veins.
