Surgical treatment of bladder cancer

In non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, transurethral resection of the bladder (TURB) with photodynamic diagnosis (PDD) are used.

In muscle-invasive cancers, complete removal of the bladder or radical cystectomy with bladder substitution using ileum or urinary diversion is usually indicated.
