Cervical conisation with local anaesthesia
Cervical conisation is a surgical treatment.
The purpose of conisation is to remove an area from the cervix, the cells of which have changed, either for diagnostic or treatment purposes. The need for the operation shall be determined by a gynaecologist, a referral is required. The cervical conisation shall be performed in an outpatient setting by using local anaesthesia. The operation will not be performed during menstruation. After the operation, the patient shall be allowed to go home.
