ITK Participated in International NATO Medical Exercise
Ida-Tallinna Keskhaiglas toimus 16. juunil rahvusvahelise NATO meditsiiniõppuse Vigorous Warrior 2026 haiglaetapp, mille käigus harjutati tervishoiusüsteemi tegutsemist kriisi- ja konfliktisarnastes olukordades.
On 16 June, the hospital phase of the international NATO medical exercise Vigorous Warrior 2026 took place at East Tallinn Central Hospital (ITK). The exercise focused on practising the healthcare system’s response to crisis and conflict-like situations.
While the scenario was fictional, the activities practised and the decisions made were based on real-life situations. During the exercise, more than 70 role players arrived at ITK’s Emergency Department, portraying civilian and military patients.
Emergency care in life-threatening or severe medical conditions was ensured throughout the exercise. Emergency eye care and the Women’s Clinic emergency reception also continued as usual.
Vigorous Warrior 2026 brought together approximately 2,000 participants from 32 Allied and partner nations.
