Appointment with a palliative care nurse

The palliative care nurse’s appointment is a service that is intended for patients with an oncological disease and their loved ones. Our hospital oncologist can refer you for the appointment.

Palliative care nurse:

  • raises patients’ awareness of the disease and its treatment

  • provides assistance in resolving different health problems that have occurred during the treatment until the end of the post-treatment follow-up period

  • explains the most common side effects of chemotherapy and teaches how to cope with them; supports patients between the treatment courses if necessary

  • gives advice on maintaining health and promoting quality of life.
