Endosonography

The upper gastrointestinal tract with an unclear nature and pancreatic tumours are mainly examined.

A special endoscope with an ultrasonic probe at its head is used for endosonography. This allows for the nature of the tumour to be assessed more accurately and there is a possibility to take tissue samples, if necessary.
