Screening test for kidney and urinary tract diseases (urine dipstick test)

An urine dipstick test is the first test for diagnosing kidney and urinary tract diseases.

It’s necessary to collect the sample properly. Changes in the levels of leukocytes, nitrites, protein and erythrocytes on the dipstick test may indicate an urinary tract or kidney disease if the sample has been collected correctly. If the sample has been collected incorrectly, a repeat test is recommended.
