Silmaoperatsioon

Welcome to

the Eye Clinic!

We are the largest medical institution diagnosing and comprehensively treating all eye diseases in Estonia. Our Eye Clinic performs a variety of eye examinations, treatment procedures, and both simple and complex eye surgeries. Our ophthalmologists make sure that patients of all ages receive help and treatment for eye diseases and traumas. The clinic’s international accreditation means that it is recognised on a global scale.

The Eye Clinic has been a member of the European Network of Rare Diseases since 2016. The Eye Clinic is also a founding member of the European Reference Network for Rare Eye Diseases.

In 2011, the European Board of Ophthalmology granted international accreditation to the East Tallinn Central Hospital Eye Clinic, establishing it as a teaching clinic with the right to train ophthalmologists from Europe and beyond.

To date, more than 40 young colleagues from 11 countries have received training at the Eye Clinic. A large part of our team has gained valuable experience at leading eye clinics in Europe. We actively collaborate with leading hospitals in the field (Zurich, Lausanne, London, Helsinki), allowing us to provide the best state-of-the-art eye care. Over the years, the Eye Clinic has become a leading centre for the treatment of eye tumours and eye reconstructive surgery in the Baltics.

We have excellent collaboration with the Eye Clinic at the University of Tartu and other colleagues all over Estonia. New treatment methods and equipment make it possible to provide eye and sight preserving solutions for many previously untreatable conditions.
