2,793 Babies Born at East Tallinn Central Hospital Last Year
In 2024, 2,793 children were born in the maternity ward of East Tallinn Central Hospital, 1,361 of whom were girls and 1,432 of whom were boys. The number of twins born was 52, which means that a total of 2,741 births were registered.
Christmas cheer: High-tech simulation mannequin to help our smallest patients
A high-tech simulation mannequin was introduced at the East Tallinn Central Hospital training centre to support neonatal stabilisation and resuscitation training. The mannequin can be used to practice vital skills to provide the best care for young patients.

Temporary relocation of Women's Clinic appointments and births from 26-28 May
From 26-28 May the Women's Clinic will be undergoing minor renovations to improve our hospital environment.
During this period, SCHEDULED BIRTHS AND EMERGENCY INTAKES will temporarily relocate to the rooms of the motherhood counselling service in Block B of the Women's Clinic.

East Tallinn Central Hospital surprises mothers of premature babies
The purpose of the World Prematurity Day on 17 November is to bring attention to families with premature babies and their concerns, support networks and their ability to cope in everyday life. The neonatology department of the Women’s Clinic of East Tallinn Central Hospital organised a special day for the mothers of premature babies and invited politicians to a round table discussion to raise awareness of problems and find solutions.
