A laryngologist is a ear-nose-throat disease doctor who is more narrowly focused on the diagnostics and treatment of the throat area.
In order to determine the disease more accurately an endoscopic throat examination has to be carried out. During the examination, we use special equipment (stroboscope) to identify the occurrence of vocal cord diseases. The treatment of throat diseases is done by medication and surgery. We only perform endolaryngeal surgeries, i.e. under the microscope inside the throat.
In order to see a laryngologist, you need a referral letter from your general practitioner or a specialist.
