Insemination (IUI – Intrauterine Insemination)

This method can be applied to minor male infertility, in case of problems due to cervical mucus, immunological reasons and unclear infertility cases.

Prerequisites include healthy and functioning fallopian tubes. This is performed with natural menstrual cycle or with a cycle stimulated by medication. During ovulation, a thin catheter is used to carry the suspension consisting of motile spermatozoa from the male partner or donor to the cervix or uterus of the woman.

If there is no male partner, or in case of severe male sperm pathology, it is possible to use donor sperm cells to perform IUI.
