Vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis is recommended before the tick season begins
Dr Leelo Moosar, infection control physician at East Tallinn Central Hospital, recommends starting vaccination against tick-borne encephalitis before the spring tick season to ensure adequate protection against a disease for which no specific treatment is available.
Ida-Tallinna Central Hospital’s working arrangements on 1 May
On Friday, 1 May, there will be no outpatient appointments or examinations at Ida-Tallinna Central Hospital. Polyclinics, laboratories, the Radiology Centre, registration desks and telephone service will be closed.

Tallinn City Government has submitted a proposal to the City Council to award a City of Tallinn decoration to Ferenc Szirko, an obstetrician-gynaecologist at East Tallinn Central Hospital, whose work has over the years contributed to the development of obstetrics, gynaecology and perinatal medicine.

On Friday, 3 April, all outpatient clinics, registration desks and phone services at East Tallinn Central Hospital will be closed. Visiting hours for patients will differ from the usual schedule, while emergency care will be available around the clock at the Emergency Medicine Centre at Ravi 18, C Building.
