Outpatient appointment with a thrombosis office physician

A physician from the thrombosis office deals with treating patients suffering from deep vein and pulmonary artery thrombosis, and performs additional tests, if required.

Venous thrombosis of unknown cause, thrombosis related to pregnancy, thrombosis caused by a tumour and problems related to anticoagulant therapy are the conditions in case of which patients are referred to us. We help make treatment discontinuation decisions, and prescribe an extension of treatment, if necessary. Since acute thrombosis is a disease that requires urgent attention, patients often reach our office as a result of being referred to testing from the emergency room following a consultation with a thrombosis nurse or their family physician. The thrombosis office does not consult patients suffering from varicose veins.

A referral from your family physician or specialist physician is needed to book an appointment.
