World-class women's clinic
Women of all ages may turn to us – here you can find state-of-the-art medical technology and the help of our doctors-nurses and midwives based on competence and great experience for gynaecological tests, prevention of diseases, childbirth or infertility treatment. Our goal is to have a patient-friendly and caring approach.
In addition to a regular gynaecologist's appointment, we will advise you in the field of gynaecology and in the case of problems with urinary incontinence. For a breast examination, we are waiting for you at the breast health office. We offer free individual counselling in a friendly and trustworthy youth office for young people up to 26 years of age.
In the summer of 2016, we received a certificate as a result of the European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, which recognises the Women's Clinic of East Tallinn Central Hospital as a European accredited learning base of obstetrics and gynaecology
Oldest maternity hospital in Estonia
The Maternity Hospital of the Central Hospital, which belongs to the Women's Clinic, is the oldest maternity hospital in Estonia. Many of our patients have a long-term tradition and the continuity of generations: their grandmother and mother have given birth here and now the third generation is increasingly turning to our clinic. A quarter of all Estonian children are born in the Maternity Hospital of the Central Hospital.
We support women throughout the pregnancy and we are the first place where newborns meet the world. You can find all necessary things from our centre – from the first weeks of pregnancy, to childbirth and postpartum aid. All of our gynaecologists, midwives and paediatricians are dedicated to work in order for your child to be born and grow healthily.
We are the only ones in Estonia to hold the title of UNICEF baby friendly hospital, since 2008 already. The principles of a baby friendly hospital are simple and humane: love and care, the closeness of a mother and a child, the necessity of breast milk and the creation of the preconditions for successful breastfeeding.
