Personal midwife

In a normal, uncomplicated delivery, your primary support and advisor is a midwife. Should any complexities arise, our experienced obstetricians and paediatricians are there to assist. If you wish, you can choose a personal midwife to support you during childbirth.

You will meet your chosen midwife in advance to get to know each other. During this meeting, you can discuss your thoughts, wishes, and expectations regarding your upcoming delivery. This helps establish a relationship of trust, ensuring your preferences are better accommodated during childbirth.  

If you would like a specific midwife to attend your birth, please contact the maternity ward at 620 7159 a few months before your due date. 

The personal midwife service includes: one meeting before the birth, and the midwife’s continuous presence by your side from the start of active labour until you leave the delivery room with your baby (2 hours after birth).  

Any additional pre-birth meetings are charged according to the hospital's valid price list for paid services.
