Midwife appointment for pregnant women (confirming pregnancy)

If the pregnancy test is positive, you should book an appointment with the midwife. Your first appointment with the midwife should be between the 6th and 9th week of pregnancy, preferably before the 12th week.

The midwife definitively confirms the pregnancy with an ultrasound. The developing foetus is first visible in the 6th to 7th week of pregnancy.

If you have health insurance, you don't have to pay for a midwife appointment.

If you do not have health insurance, you will have to pay for the appointment and examinations according to the Health Insurance Fund's price list.
